Looking for a way
One of the most painful problems for Ukraine today against the background of a full-scale military conflict is emigration. Hundreds of thousands, primarily women and children, left the country. Generations of Ukrainians have lost their most talented active representatives. How do our fellow citizens feel about themselves in a foreign country? Did you find a place there? Are they ready to go home after the war is over? We try to answer these questions in projects. Each piece of the project is a photo portrait of a Ukrainian woman without cosmetics, photoshop, or jewelry. The woman looks into the viewer's eyes. Her face is placed against the background of one of the Ukrainian cities, both those under occupation and those that were liberated or never fell under the power of the enemy. Subconsciously, we mean that our compatriots migrated from all these places. Each Ukrainian region felt the aggression of the enemy, and our citizens were forcibly evacuated from them. All portraits are made in the same style, in the same color scheme. They represent how fate brought women from all over the country together, pushing them to migrate. In the future, each migrant chose his own path. Someone found himself in a foreign land: a job, a house, even a new family. Someone has already returned to Ukraine. Someone is waiting for the circumstances to make a final decision. Artists of different ages, genders, and artistic techniques joined the project. Everyone chose one of the pictures and added it at their own discretion. Their different creative ideas are like the different fates of our migrant women. Everyone has their own future!
